Daytona (“DJ”) Higareda is a Chicago(ish) based writer & filmmaker. Much to her dismay, the closest DJ has been to living in the actual city is her three-year stint commuting to Columbia College Chicago, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Film & Television Arts and a minor in managing her temper on I-90 (just kidding; her minor is in Writing for Television).

When she is not sitting in a dark room conversing with her imaginary friends (ie; writing dialogue for her characters), DJ can be found taking long walks that her dog has bullied her into. Don’t worry— she secretly loves it!

In 2025, DJ began Reverie Media, a studio based in the “-ish” parts of Chicago. You can find information on projects they are working on here.
